About Texas Commercial Mortgage

History

Texas Commercial Mortgage is a Houston based commercial real estate mortgage banking firm specializing in the origination, underwriting and brokerage of debt and equity for investors, developers and owner-operators of income-producing commercial real estate throughout the nation. The company was formed in 2009 during the height of the “great recession and financial crisis” of 2008.

In spite of the residential subprime mortgage meltdown during this turbulent period, commercial real estate loans and the commercial mortgage industry managed to stave off a similar fate. Even so the capital and debt markets for commercial real estate loans came to a screeching halt. It was precisely during this period that developers, investors and owners of commercial real estate suddenly realized that their personal bankers and primary lending sources were closed for business, at least temporarily. Seeing this as an opportunity Texas Commercial Mortgage set out to establish a nationwide network and proprietary database of private lenders, commercial banks, and financial institutions that were still open for business and eager to lend.

Unable to find the easy money, developers, investors and property owners alike finally realized that they needed help from an experienced financial intermediary who could and would be able to efficiently and timely source and structure the most cost-effective and maximum amount of capital. As a financial intermediary, Texas Commercial Mortgage is committed to providing capital solutions and advisory services that are first and foremost in the best interests of the borrower.
